The Manchester Derby is always a big deal for English soccer fans around the world. Two of Barclay Premier League’s giants face off! Premier League games are always popular but this match always draws massive attention and media hype as both teams try to get the early bragging rights over their Manchester counter parts. This match also had great importance in regards to the league table also, as the race of the title continues to remain very tight. Fans of both sides were hoping to get victory to push their team 3 points ahead.
Manchester City FC were forced to play the derby without star players David Silva and Serigo Aguero. Though they were able to rely on Yaya Toure’s leadership and skill has he was fit to return for the match. Manchester United were only missing their centre back Phil Jones, but had their star striker Wayne Rooney ready to go.
Throughout the match both sides had a few good chances, Manchester City’s defence was too strong for United to breakthrough to get a clear shot. Manchester City had many more shots on net but failed to get one by the keeper. By the 70th minute both managers began focusing on defence, the game became very boring as both team bounced the ball around in the middle.
Unfortunately like other boring Premier League games the match ended 0-0, overall it was a rather boring match as both sides played safe not wanting to give away 3 league points to the opposition.
